The introductory course on 3D digitisation of patient's face with the Face Hunter facial scanner
| How to acquire patient's face data with a simple click! During the course, we point out the possibilities resulting from the digitisation of the patient's face (PlaneSystem®) and demonstrate how the obtained data is efficiently integrated into the digital workflow. We will show you how to use the Face Hunter facial scanner and how to combine the data with other digitally information (e.g. DICOM and intraoral scanning data). To do that, each participant is digitised. Afterwards, on the basis of the face scans, we realise the mock-ups together. |

Programme
Day 1 (all-day)
- Theoretical background on the PlaneSystem®
- Presentation of the 3D Face Hunter facial scanner
- Resolve outstanding issues
- Practical exercises with PlaneSystem® and Face Hunter
Day 2 (all-day)
- Recap of the course contents learned in the previous day and time for more practical exercises
- Presentation of the JawPositioner; milling of a positioning pattern for the PS1 Articulator
- Designing a bite splint or mock-up on the basis of data previously registered with the PlaneSystem®, comparison of different positions in the virtual articulator: Camper Plane, Frankfurter Horizontal, PlaneSystem® etc.
- Nesting and milling of the bite splint (Therapon Transpa) or mock-up (Multistratum® Flexible)
Day 3 (morning)
- Milling results evaluation of the bite splint or mock-up (elaboration/polishing/check of the fitting and occlusion)
- Recap of the course contents learned in the previous two days
- Resolve outstanding issues
