The specialisation course on Prettau® zirconia

We prepare a 4-unit posterior tooth bridge and an occlusally screw-retained front tooth made of Prettau® zirconia. After finishing these two structures, we teach you the specific colouring technique for Prettau® zirconia and how to characterise the structures with the ICE Stains 3D by Enrico Steger and to veneer the anterior and gingival area with the ICE Ceramics.

Programme

Day 1 (afternoon)

  • Basic characteristics, properties and range of application of Prettau® zirconia
  • Elaboration of an unsintered Prettau® Bridge
  • Colouring the structure with Colour Liquid Prettau® Aquarell
  • Information about the sintering furnace; sintering the Prettau® Bridge overnight 

Day 2 (all-day)

  • Evaluation of the results of the previous day 
  • Fit-check and polishing 
  • Ceramic layering (Prettau® Bridge): wash firing 
  • Ceramic layering (front tooth): wash firing 
  • Colouring the front tooth with the ICE Stains 3D by Enrico Steger; glaze firing
  • Final polishing of the superstructure and review of the contents learned 
  • Work finalisation 
  • Explanation of the firing cycle and temperatures 
  • Resolve outstanding issues
